Fixer Mark Taguba on Thursday denied recanting allegations that he brought in shipments by bribing the alleged "Davao Group," supposedly led by Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and his brother-in-law.

Taguba previously told the Senate blue ribbon committee that he gave the Davao Group P5 million in "enrollment fees" and an additional weekly P1 million for the release of his shipments on the assumption that its members were working under Duterte and his brother-in-law, Atty. Maneses Carpio.

Taguba later apologized to Duterte and Carpio for dragging them into the controversy.

Asked during Thursday's hearing if he is recanting anything from his earlier allegations, Taguba replied: "Wala po."

He conceded however that he only has "hearsay" evidence against Duterte and Carpio.
