Senate to begin probe on controversial early release of inmates on Sept. 2

The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee will probe next week the controversial early release of inmates for good conduct, particularly the case of convicted rapist-killer former Calauan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez. Committee chair Sen. Richard Gordon says convicts who committed heinous crimes should not be eligible for early release.
