MANILA - Senator Cynthia Villar on Tuesday said rehabilitation must be a priority in the government's anti-drug drive.

Villar, who is part of the majority senators seeking a probe on the recent drug-related killings, said solving the drug menace requires a multi-pronged approach.

The senator touted the community-based and center-based rehabilitation programs implemented in their city, Las Piñas.

“We’re doing our best because sinasabi ko sa mga tao sa amin na it’s the responsibility of everybody, not just of the government, but every person in this country to see to it that we are able to rehabilitate these drug surrenderees," she told ANC's Headstart.

"We should be able to rehabilitate those who can be rehabilitated because we cannot kill them all," she said.
