Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director Ronald dela Rosa on Tuesday recognized the presence of his wife in the middle of his speech at the 115th anniversary of the Police Services.

Dela Rosa said celebrities who have visited his office now say they envy his wife.

(Times have changed. Celebrities are now the ones envious of my wife, not the other way around. They said they envy my wife and ask why I married her.)

Dela Rosa also recognized the wives of his fellow policemen as well as his daughters.

"Pinapakilala ko sa inyo para tulungan niyo ako 'pag nakita ito sa mga mall, baka kidnapin ng mga drug lord," he said.

(I introduced them so you could help me find them if they are ever kidnapped by drug lords.)

(If drug lords fail to hit me and President Duterte, they would aim for our weakness -- our family. )
