All 14 Filipinos on board a fishing boat that collided with a Hong Kong vessel remain missing for the fourth straight day on Thursday, a disaster official said.

Rescuers only found tubs of fish floating in waters southwest of Manila, where the Philippine fishing vessel Liberty 5 capsized off the coast of Occidental Mindoro, said Mario Mulingbayan, disaster response official of the province.

The captain of the cargo ship Vienna Wood, which is registered in Hong Kong, called for help "a few hours later", the Philippine Coast Guard earlier said.

A military chopper later Thursday will continue scouring the waters to find the Liberty 5's 12 crew members and 2 passengers, Mulingbayan told ABS-CBN's TeleRadyo.

"Tayo po ay tuloy-tuloy ang panalangin na sana po ay ligtas ang 14," he said.

(We continue praying that the 14 are safe.)
