Nag-sorry ang kompanyang may-ari ng MT Princess Empress sa mga naapektuhan ng oil spill. Pero nanindigan itong hindi luma ang lumubog na oil tanker. Iginiit naman ng mga local government unit at ilang mambabatas na hindi sapat ang ayudang ipinaabot ng kompanya at mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan. Nagpa-Patrol, Vivienne Gulla.
