MANILA - A move to implement blended learning for students during the time of the coronavirus pandemic poses a challenge to parents, a parents-teachers' leader association said Friday.

Jojo Leva, head of National Parents-Teachers Association - Marinduque, said many remote areas in the Philippines do not have internet.

Leva said TV and radio signals are weak in far-flung areas in Marinduque.

Education chief Leonor Briones earlier said the Department of Education will implement alternative ways of learning, such as lessons given through television and radio.
