The Department of Transportation on Tuesday said the implementing rules and regulations for the Speed Limiter Law is "about to be signed by the Secretary."

Assistant Secretary Mark Richmund de Leon told lawmakers during the Senate's investigation into the fatal bus crash in Nueva Ecija last month that the IRR is "ready" for Secretary Arthur Tugade's signature and is being routed with their attached agencies.

The Speed Limiter Law (Republic Act 10916) lapsed into law July last year without the President's signature. It requires the mandatory installation of speed limiter devices in "public utility and certain types of vehicles."
