The Social Security System said Thursday online application errors were slowing down the distribution of its cash aid for 3.4 million workers of small businesses.

Some employers did not follow the required format for the cellphone number and bank account numbers of their employees, which make these unreadable to the computer program used by the agency, said SSS Acting Vice President Fernando Nicolas.

"Maraming error 'yung nakukuha ng system namin na nagiging dahilan ng pagka-antala ng pag-credit ng subsidy," he told DZMM.

(There are errors encountered by our system which delay the subsidy crediting.)

M Lhuillier Financial Services Inc and the Development Bank of the Philippines, which partnered with SSS for the aid distribution, were also fixing delays in their digital system, he said.
