MANILA - The Makati police rejected Friday possible foul play behind the collapse of a portion of the wall of SM Jazz Residences condominium.

Gideon Ines Jr. told radio DZMM.

Ines said some drivers said there was a brownout and then an explosion before the portions of the wall of the condominium fell on their vehicles.

Makati's deputy chief of police for operations said a thorough investigation will be conducted by the local government's engineering department, the management ng SM Jazz Residences, the city's risk reduction management office and the Bureau of Fire Protection.

Approximately 100 residents of the affected building are staying at the condominium's clubhouse, Ines said.

At least two persons were hurt after the incident while some acquired minor injuries, authorities said.
