All personnel of the Ospital ng Sampaloc in Manila are now negative for the novel coronavirus, an official said Wednesday.

The public hospital was closed for 2 weeks until April 20 because some dishonest patients passed COVID-19 to 7 doctors, 2 nurses and an administrative staffer there, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno earlier said.

"Sa ngayon wala na po kaming personnel na COVID posiitive. Lahat po sila ay naka-recover na. Wala na rin po kaming binabantayan na mga COVID suspect na mga health worker," said Ospital ng Sampaloc Director Aileen Lacsamana.

(We no longer have any personnel who is COVID positive. All them have recovered. We are not watching any COVID suspect among our health workers.)

The hospital currently has 4 patients with mild symptoms of the respiratory disease, she told DZMM.

The Ospital ng Maynila last week screened about 853 Sampaloc residents for the novel coronavirus. Five of them tested positive and were quarantined while waiting for confirmatory test results, said the doctor.
