The Commission on Elections on Thursday said campaign posters should indicate the name and address of the person or organization that paid for them and the name of the candidate benefiting from the ad.

"Iyung mga nakikita natin ngayon, karamihan d'yan wala. Violation po iyun," Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez told radio DZMM.

Ads violating the rule should be taken down and those responsible for them should face charges, he said.

Comelec has yet to file any complaint for violators of the rule, he admitted.

The poll body earlier said campaign posters have a size limit of 2 by 3 feet and should not be placed outside designated areas or in private property without the owner's permission.

The size limit also applies to posters on public utility vehicles, said Jimenez.
