The amihan or northeast monsoon will continue cooling the country until the end of February, the state weather bureau said Sunday.

The cold and dry air from the northeast will bring light to moderate rains over Caraga and Davao regions today, said PAGASA meteorologist Gener Quitlong.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience generally fair weather and partially cloudy to cloudy skies, he told radio DZMM.

There is no potential storm expected to enter the country in the next 2 to 3 days, Quitlong said.

The weather bureau, he added, did not raise any gale warning but waves could be as high as 1 to 3 meters off northern Luzon and the eastern parts of the country.
