Amihan cools down Luzon

MANILA -- The northeast monsoon or amihan is set to bring rains to parts of Luzon on Friday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA. 

PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque will face cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the amihan.

The state weather bureau noted, however, that a shear line is affecting Eastern Visayas, Aklan, Capiz, Albay, Masbate, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Palawan, and Romblon.

This means flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible in these areas.
