Foreign aid for 'Yolanda' relief hits P16 billion

MANILA - The Philippine government's foreign aid transparency hub or FAITH website shows the total foreign aid pledged for relief and rehabilitation after super typhoon "Yolanda" is more than P16 billion.

In an interview, Budget Undersecretary Richard "Bon" Moya said the FAITH website recorded another P1 billion in pledges on Wednesday.

Total foreign aid pledges is now at P16,725,043,749.60. The website showed that the Philippine government has so far received P49,918,050 of the pledges.

Moya said the website shows which organizations and governments have donated to the Philippine relief effort. He said the money going through the Philippine government will be tracked down to the last centavo while some of the donations pass through non-government organizations.
