MANILA - Senatorial bet Risa Hontiveros denied Monday that she is romantically involved with Presidential Political Adviser Ronald Llamas.

"I am not seeing him. We never went out. We have been friends and colleagues for decades since I graduated from college. Magkasama kami sa coalition for peace," she said in an interview on ANC's Headstart.

She said some of the rumors linking her to Llamas started from the premise that there is a possible "conflict of interest" in the romance since Hontiveros is also a senatorial candidate of the administration Team PNoy.

"Parang sexist yung premise nila," she said, noting that she and Llamas are both single.

In the interview, Hontiveros admitted that she used to date Erin Tañada in college.

"We were seeing each other in college. Not for a long time but we were together," she said.

She also denied any possible romance with President Aquino. "I love him like a brother," she said.

She admitted that she is open to remarrying after her husband died. "I am open to that. I told my kids. I was happy when I was married," she said.

Hontiveros said she backs a dialogue on the divorce bill while also pushing for the anti-discrimination bill for LGBTs.

She also said she is not tolerant of the New People's Army revolutionary taxes as well as the "permits to campaign and permits to win."
