MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Joker Arroyo on Monday raised concerns about the Anti-Money Laundering Council's inquiry on Chief Justice Renato Corona's bank accounts before he was impeached last December 12, 2011.

"I find it strange that as far back as September to November 2010, there was already an inquiry on Chief Justice Corona...then followed by impeachment then followed by the investigation of the [Bureau] of Internal Revenue. Three invesigations have been conducted against the Chief Justice," he said.

"If we offend Malacañang, if we do not follow Malacañang they can proceed against us with the information gathered through AMLA. It is a disturbing thought," he added.
