Two of the topnotchers of this year's Bar exams revealed their positions on some of the issues facing the country, as well as the advocacies they would like to push.

Bar topnotcher and Ateneo de Manila University law school valedictorian Sean Borja said he would like to be an advocate for LGBT rights, while sixth placer Nadaine Tongco from the University of the Philippines said she wants to get involved in environmental and children issues.

Both of them said they were against the alleged extra-judicial killings stemming from the government's anti-narcotics campaign.

Borja and Tongco also said the "crackdown" on journalists critical of the administration was unwelcome.

The two also voiced their opposition to the revival of the death penalty.
