Actor Phillip Salvador lambasted the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, ahead of his annual report to the nation.

"Ginagawa naman ng Pangulo natin ang lahat para sa ikabubuti ng bansa, para sa ikabubuti ng bawat Pilipino pero binabatikos pa rin siya," Salvador said in a chance interview with reporters at the Batasan Pambansa.

"Sa inyo pong lahat na bumabatikos: mamatay kayong lahat. Salamat po," he further said.

(Our President is doing everything for the welfare of the country, for the welfare of each Filipino, but he is still being criticized. To everyone criticizing: may you all die. Thank you.)

Salvador arrived at the legislative building in Quezon City with fellow actors Robin Padilla and Bayani Agbayani.

"Kami po ang 3 musketeers,hu'wag naman 3 stooges. Pinaglalaban namin siyempre 'yung tama. Feeling lang namin iyon, ibigay niyo na sa amin iyon," said Padilla.

(We are the 3 musketeers, not the 3 stooges. We are fighting for what is right. That is how we feel, we hope you could give us that.)

The action star also urged the public to unite in the last 3 years of Duterte's administration.

"Walang ibang maganda kung 'di magkaisa tayo... Sa huling 3 taon magkasama-sama na po tayo," he said.

(There is no other good move but for us to unite. Let's join each other in the last 3 years.)
