The Light Rail Transit Authority allotted P403 million for the relocation of informal settlers, who will be displaced by the P65-billion LRT 1 Cavite extension project.

LRTA said it will bid out the contract for the relocation housing units and amenities for informal settlers.

It is set to hold a pre-bid conference on January 9. Investors have until February 11 to submit their bids.

Back in October, the DOTC awarded the project to Metro Pacific-Ayala group. The project covers the construction of an 11.7 kilometer extension to the Niog area in Bacoor, Cavite, consisting of 8 new stations traversing the cities of Paranaque, Las Pinas and Bacoor.
