MANILA - Republican Donald Trump would be a much more "humble" dialogue partner for the Philippines, a prominent investment adviser said.

Trump “would be a much easier person to talk to about the US not maintaining an aggressive stance towards the rest of the world,” said Marc Faber, author and publisher of “Gloom, Boom and Doom.”

“He would be a much more humble dialogue partner for, say, the President of the Philippines than Hillary Clinton,” he told ANC’s “The Boss.”

Faber added that Clinton would have a "negative influence on the geopolitical situation in the world."

“Under a Hillary Clinton presidency, war is more likely than under a Trump presidency,” he said.

Trump bested expectations on Tuesday to win the 2016 US presidential elections. The 70-year-old Republican nominee was elected the 45th president of the United States after securing 276 electoral votes over Clinton's 218, according to the Associated Press.
