What keeps National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) chief Arsenio Balisacan busy during his free time?

He hits the road--running--soon after he does the number crunching as socio-economic planning secretary.

Balisacan is a long-distance runner who likes competing in a good marathon in the city every now and then.

His most recent run last month in Manila had him clocking in just over 2 hours and 20 minutes, putting him up in the first one-third of the finishers in the race.

On days when he doesn't have a marathon to compete in, he hits the track within UP Diliman campus.

He said he only picked up the sport as a hobby when he was taking his PhD.

Now, he can't do without his funky-looking, jet-black activity tracker around his wrist, an accessory he wears even to work, underneath his long-sleeved formal polo barong. -- ANC Market Edge, September 24, 2015
