MANILA -- Mandaue City's furniture makers are banking on their craftsmanship to withstand the influx of cheaper Chinese imports, business leaders there said Wednesday.

Weaving and iron works differentiate furniture from Cebu province's so-called "Bridge City," Kelie Ko, chairman of Mandaue Business Month told ANC's Early Edition.

Compared to "massively produced and cheap" home fixtures from China, Mandaue furniture are made to be "works of art," said Stanley Go, president of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
