The SALt (Sustainable Alternative Lightning) lamp can run up to 8 hours straight with just one glass of tap water and two tablespoons of salt, or simply ocean water. Inventor Aisa Mijeno said they had lots of partnerships after she spoke in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit in 2015, and they are now transitioning from low-volume to mass production. "We’re fund raising for $500,000. That will help us transition from low volume production to mass production...We’re working on a deal with a packaging company. Hopefully that works out and they’re very keen on supporting us," Rafael told ANC's Cathy Yang at the sidelines of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit. Mijeno said that companies from the United States and Germany are also keen on procuring units of their product.
