MANILA -- Smart-spending mothers and millennials are helping drive e-commerce in the Philippines, according to rewards app Shopback, which aims to triple its business in one of the region's fastest growing markets for digital.

Mothers are looking for diapers, home care products and cosmetics while millennials want to score bargains on travel, said Shopback country manager for the Philippines Prashant Kala.

Shopback offers rebates and rewards and directs users to marketplace sites like Lazada and Shoppee, said Kala.

The platform aims to triple its 2.1 million users in the Philippines, alongside sales volume, Kala told ANC's Early Edition.

"People are going to be smarter. People want to see how they can save more and more money," he said.
