The Bangko Sentral cuts its inflation forecast again slightly as it kept interest rates unchanged.

The BSP lowered its forecast to 2.2 percent from 2.3 percent.

Low inflation means less pressure for interest rates to rise. This means cheaper loans and investors shifting from bonds to stocks.

The BSP kept its key interest rate at 4 percent as expected.
