The IT-Business Process Outsourcing sector's growth slowed a little last year, with the industry saying India became more competitive as the rupee fell.

Revenue grew just 13 percent to over $18 billion, slower than the 17 percent increase in 2013.

Despite the slower revenue growth, hiring continued. Employees broke the one million mark and are expected to rise to about 1.2 million this year.

India is the Philippines' main competitor, especially in call centers.
