ABS-CBN, Comelec create app for 2013 polls

The Commission on Elections and ABS-CBN are teaming up to bring the 2013 elections closer to people.

Comelec and ABS-CBN have formalized a partnership in educating Filipino voters through a mobile app designed for the midterm elections.

Powered by ABS-CBN, the Comelec Halalan 2013 app aims to empower voters with election-related news and information and to report on issues that will push for community reforms.

The app will also have features like precinct finder and voter status checker.

The app will be available for download this month for Apple and Android devices. - ANC
