MANILA -- What is 'fafda'?
Netizens raised this question after the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) posted this puzzling tweet on their official Twitter account on Friday.
The tweet has gone viral even if it was deleted about 7 minutes after it was posted. It remains one of the trending topics on Twitter Philippines as of this posting.
Many Twitter users were quick to point out its similarity to US President Donald Trump's "covfefe" tweet, while others used their creativity to give meaning to the tweet:
In a statement, PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said it was an "accidental tweet" by one of the office's Twitter administrators.
"It doesn't mean anything so she deleted it right away," he added.
Nevertheless, Andanar said he "wrote a memo" to his office's social media administrators to be "more careful."
The PCOO also manages the Philippine News Agency, the state-run news organization, which recently drew flak for its erroneous posting of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) logo.
