MANILA -- The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has warned motorists against doing the viral #InMyFeelings challenge.
In a post on Facebook, the DOTr released tips for those who are interested in doing the dance challenge.
"Mahal ka kaya ni Kiki? Kung nagbabalak kang mag #InMyFeelingsChallenge, tandaan ang mga sumusunod," DOTr said in its post.
According to DOTr, the challenge, which involves getting off a moving vehicle and dancing to Drake's "In My Feelings," should only be done on private roads and safe areas.
"Huwag sa pampublikong kalsada! Be safe, not reckless," DOTr said.
The agency, likewise, warned motorists to make sure they are not violating the Anti-Distracted Driving Act while taking videos.
"Maging maingat sa pag-video at baka lumabag ka pa sa Anti-Distracted Driving Act."
"Paalala, ipakita ang iyong feelings sa tamang paraan. Huwag itong gawin sa paraan na magdadala ng disgrasya sa ibang mamamayan," it cautioned.
According to the DOTr, the warning was released to discourage motorists from doing the challenge, and not to encourage them.
Several celebrities have taken part in the newest dance craze, including Kim Chiu, Bela Padilla, and Awra Briguela, who have shared their videos on Instagram.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has also warned motorists against doing the dance challenge.
