Following the organizers' opening-day production, the Southeast Asian Games closing ceremonies at New Clark City in Capas town, Tarlac on Wednesday night were just as grandiose, if not more.

Leading the Philippine contingent was gold-winning surfer Roger Casogay, who became the darling of these Games after saving an Indonesian competitor as their event was going on.

The closing featured drones and fireworks, and a mini concert thanks to Arnel Pineda and the Black Eyed Peas.

Vietnam, the next country to host the biannual regional meet, also had performers grace the event.

The event tied a bow on the country's record-breaking Games performance that had the hosts taking home 387 medals.
