After four years, the Letran Knights once again lifted the NCAA Men’s Basketball trophy on Tuesday night as they beat the same nemesis they had back then, the San Beda Red Lions.

The Knights completed an upset win over the reigning champs as they thwarted San Beda’s quest for a fourth consecutive title, putting to the wayside the Red Lions’ 18-0 record during the elimination round.

The game proved to be a nail-biter as both teams hit big shots in the dying seconds but the smothering defense of Letran proved to be the difference maker as they squeaked past San Beda, 81-79.
