SLIDESHOW: Meet Gilas Pilipinas’ ‘final 12’ for the FIBA World Cup

The past, present and future of local basketball were mixed together on Sunday to form the Philippines national team that will compete in the FIBA World Cup in China next week.

From Gabe Norwood, the lone holdover from the 2007 squad — the first formed under the current Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, the sport's national governing body — to PBA rookies Robert Bolick and CJ Perez, this Gilas Pilipinas 12 hopes for a decent finish in the 32-team field playing on basketball's biggest stage.

Members of the entire team, coached by Yeng Guiao, are the following:
