And on Wednesday, Manila native Yulo bannered the Paris Olympics participants in a heroes welcoming parade in the capital to the delight of their Filipino fans.

Earlier that day, Yulo graced an event where he received his key to his new fully furnished condominium unit at McKinley Hills in Taguig City, awarded by a real estate company.

But after all his public appearances, Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion said Yulo looks forward to his vacation.

"He wants to rest. He really wants to. He's asking that if I can rest after this," Carrion told select reporters at Rizal Memorial Coliseum, where the parade culminated.
