Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN NewsMANILA (3rd UPDATE) -- The Filipino Olympians are back from a historic campaign in the 2024 Paris Olympics.The Olympians touched down at the Villamor Airbase at 7:07 p.m. on Tuesday, aboard PR 8888 -- a chartered flight from Dubai.Included in the delegation are two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and bronze medalists Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio, as well as star pole vaulter EJ Obiena.&quot;Maraming-maraming salamat po sa mga nagdasal at sumuporta sa aming mga atletang Pilipino na naglaro sa Olympics. Hindi po nasayang ang pagpupuyat nila para mapanood kami,&quot; Yulo told reporters upon his arrival.&quot;[We&#39;re] po talaga na maraming-maraming sumusuporta sa aming mga atletang Pilipino,&quot; he also said.The athletes were welcomed by their families and officials upon their exit from the aircraft.&nbsp;At the Malacanang Palace, the Olympians were welcomed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos.&nbsp;&quot;Ang gusto kong tanungin sa kanila -- ano pang magagawa natin para dumami kayong mga medalists. That&#39;s what I want to talk [about] ... Hindi lang &#39;yung mga athletes kun&#39;di mga coach, mga trainer. Ano pang mga kulang ninyo?&quot; Marcos Jr. said ahead of the athletes&#39; arrival.All athletes will receive presidential citations, with Yulo also getting a Presidential Medal of Merit.
