MANILA -- Rey Nambatac was pleased to have fulfilled something that his father dreamed of when he was younger.
The former Colegio de San Juan de Letran star made his PBA debut during Rain or Shine’s 82-79 win over TNT KaTropa last Friday much to his father’s delight.
Nambatac notched five points and five rebounds for the Elasto Painters while his father keenly watched him play at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Nambatac’s father, Rey Sr., dreamed of making it to the pro ranks, having played in his hometown of Cagayan de Oro City in both the collegiate and commercial ranks. But injuries forced him to change plans and settled to work in the government.
The elder Nambatac is proud of what his son was able to accomplish.
