Asian Games gold medalist Margielyn Didal is set to compete in the 2019 season of the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) tournament.
Didal left for the US on Wednesday night to begin preparing for the competition, according to a report by Scout Magazine.
SLS is considered the most recognized professional street skateboarding competition series, taking place on custom built plazas with the best skateboarders competing for the biggest prize.
After her training camp in the US, Didal will head to Brazil where an SLS competition, considered a qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will take place.
Didal was recently recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential Teens of 2018.
