MANILA, Philippines - Two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Kiefer Ravena led the way as the Philippines defeated Qatar, 18-11, in an exhibition game in the 2015 FIBA 3x3 All-Star festivities Saturday in Doha, Qatar.

Ravena, La Salle's Jeron Teng, Perpetual Help's Bright Akhuetie and San Beda's Ola Adeogun overpowered the home team bannered by Faris Avdic, Emir Mujlic, Nedim Muslic and Seydou Ndoye.

The Philippine team raced off to a 4-0 start and remained in control for most of the game until Qatar came within three points, 9-12, with 50 seconds to go.

A free throw from Teng and a vicious slam dunk by Akhuetie sealed the deal for the Filipinos, however.

Ravena later thanked the Filipinos who showed up to the game.

Meanwhile, GlobalPort standout Terrence Romeo was named "most spectacular player of the year" by basketball fans following a social media contest.

Powerhouse squad Novi Sad, the reigning FIBA 3x3 World Champions, underscored their dominance of the event by beating Saskatoon, 21-14, in the finals of the 3x3 All Stars, also on Saturday.

Dusan Domovic Bulut, the No. 1 3x3 player in the world, was named MVP of the event.
