MANILA -- Caviar “EnDerr” Acampado on Tuesday asserted his dominance in the Starcraft II field after upending Singapore’s Thomas “Blysk” Kopankiewicz in a 4-1 sweep to claim the gold medal for the Southeast Asian Games.
Acampado drew first blood after quickly disposing of Kopankiewicz in Game 1 and Game 2.
Kopankiewicz tried to bounce back in Games 3 but Acampado took the next two matches to claim the third gold medal for the Philippines in esports.
The game was a repeat of their group stage matches, where Acampado upended Kopankiewicz, 2-1, in the tournament opener.
Kopankiewicz will get the SEA Games silver, while Tran “MeomaikA” Hong Phuc will take bronze for Vietnam.
