Christian Standhardinger tallied big numbers on Friday while leading Hong Kong Eastern past Mono Vampire, 112-105, in their ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) clash at Stadium 29 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The highly touted Filipino-German had 40 points, 17 rebounds, five steals, and three assists as he helped the Eastern halt the Vampire’s three-game win streak.
Hong Kong, which followed up its gutsy 87-78 win over the CLS Knights, now has three wins in as many games.
Tyler Lamb, Ki Lee and Marcus Elliot added 19 points each for the Eastern squad.
Reggie Johnson, who had 25 points and 16 rebounds in Mono Vampire’s 90-78 win over the Slingers, had 31 markers this time around.
This, however, wasn’t enough to offset Standhardinger’s output.
