UP’s Paul Desiderio submits application to 2018 PBA rookie draft

Following a fruitful UAAP Season 81 campaign, University of the Philippines forward Paul Desiderio is throwing his name in the 2018 PBA rookie draft.

Desiderio, who averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.3 steals for the Fighting Maroons this year, submitted his draft application on Friday, according to the PBA website

He will join the rookie draft list which already includes the likes of CJ Perez of Lyceum of the Philippines, Bobby Ray Parks of San Miguel Alab Pilipinas, and Robert Bolick of San Beda.

Desiderio, 21, played a big role in UP's push to its first UAAP finals appearance in 32 years.

Desiderio was also part of the Go for Gold team that won the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup championship and the Batang Gilas squad in the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Cup.
