MANILA -- Pressed to stop the bleeding in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup, Mahindra is looking to sign Jeric Teng, according to an online report.

The former University of Santo Tomas star, who recently became a free agent, was already practicing with the Floodbusters, according to a report by Spin.

Mahindra is looking for an outside threat, which is why it is looking at Teng.

Teng was part of the Rain or Shine team that won the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup against Alaska. However, he wasn't renewed by the Elasto Painters following the exit of coach Yeng Guiao.

If he signs with Mahindra, he will join Gary David and slam dunk champion Rey Guevarra who both recently joined the Floodbusters.

Mahindra has yet to win a game in the Philippine Cup.

In its latest defeat, the Floodbusters got manhandled by the Phoenix Fuel masters, 114-104.
