MANILA, Philippines – A motorcade in honor of Manny Pacquiao was held in the city of Makati on Thursday to celebrate the Fighting Congressman's dominant victory over American challenger Chris Algieri last Sunday.

Pacquiao, who received a hero's welcome upon his arrival in General Santos City Monday afternoon, paid a courtesy call to Makati Mayor Junjun Binay and Vice President Jejomar Binay.

The "Pacman" thanked the Binays for the parade as well as the celebration prepared by the people of Makati City.

The Binays raised Pacquiao's hands but later clarified that the courtesy call was not about politics, but rather to celebrate the boxer's unanimous decision win over Algieri.

Both Pacquiao and Junjun Binay said it was too early to discuss 2016.

Pacquiao retained his WBO welterweight belt last weekend after knocking down Algieri six times en route to a huge win on the scorecards. -- Report from Adrian Ayalin, ABS-CBN News.
