Chris Tiu didn't say unequivocally that he was hanging it up after Rain Or Shine's win over NLEX on Saturday.

But the Elasto Painters playmaker made it sound like the end is within sight for him.

Tiu scored a career-high 30 points playing a team-high 32 minutes in a no-bearing victory for the already-ousted Rain Or Shine.

For Tiu, though, the personal best and the ensuing win was important.

"Very proud of my teammates and the coaching staff and everyone that's part of the team," he said.

"We played today without pressure. We knew we had nothing to lose. We just poured our hearts out and gave everything we've got. Fortunately, we came out with a win today."

Tiu reset his career scoring high three times this Governors' Cup — first dropping 23 points in a win over NorthPort on October 17, before tallying 24 in a loss to Phoenix on October 24 and 30 against NLEX.

According to PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon III, Tiu's averages this season — 10.3 points, close to 3 rebounds and 4 assists — are career-highs.

Prior to this campaign, Tiu hadn't averaged double figures in scoring.

The 33-year-old point guard did not say for sure he was retiring, but suggested that the finish line was on his mind with the way he performed.

"It means so much to me because my future here in the PBA is uncertain," he said in the post-game interview.

"Obviously it's our last game of the season and my contract is ending as well. I haven't talked to our bosses as to what's next.

"So I just wanted to end it nicely, and end it elegantly by playing hard, by giving it everything we've got. God has been good and he's blessed us with so much."
