2 Pinoy archers qualify for Youth Olympic Games

MANILA, Philippines – Two Filipino archers qualified for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games by getting past their respective rivals at the Asian Championships in Taipei.

According to World Archery’s official website, Luis Gabriel Moreno defeated Panjiaji Bukhori Rahmat in the gold medal round of the Continental Qualification Tournament – Boys held at the Taipei Stadium on Thursday.

Bianca Gotauco, meanwhile, placed second behind Aruzhan Abrazak of Kazakhstan in the Continental Qualification Tournament - Girls.

Their gold-silver medal finishes earned them places in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
