Two-time UAAP champion head coach Tai Bundit of Ateneo de Manila University is leaving the Lady Eagles after calling the shots for four seasons, a source said Saturday.

Bundit, who propelled the Lady Eagles to back-to-back championships in UAAP Seasons 76 and 77, wants to spend more time with his family in Thailand, the source bared.

Assistant coach Sherwin Meneses will be acting as Ateneo’s interim head coach.

The Lady Eagles won its first UAAP title in 2014, Bundit's first year as coach, in four dramatic games in the championship series against thrice-to-beat arch nemesis De La Salle University.

The following year, Ateneo made history with a rare 16-game sweep in the season.

The Katipunan-based volleybelles then settled for second place in Seasons 78 and 79 after surrendering to the Lady Spikers.
