LOS ANGELES – Filipino boxing icon and Senator Manny Pacquiao hit the road before dawn to open the United States leg of his training camp for his November 5 title clash against Jessie Vargas.
Pacquiao made a quick uphill run before his routine was interrupted by thunder and rain. The "Pacman" had to do his ab work under a makeshift canopy as rains poured.
After his first uphill run of camp, Pacquiao slept rather than train at the Wild Card gym. Members of the boxer's team said the fighter was still jetlagged after having landed in Los Angeles last Saturday.
However, training camp will kick into high gear on Tuesday, with Pacquiao scheduled for a sparring session.
