Tacloban finally stopped a three-game bleeding but needed to go the full distance to prevail over Pocari Sweat-Air Force, 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 15-9, Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Fighting Warays closed the first round of eliminations with a 3-4 win-loss record while handing the Lady Warriors their second loss in a row.

New recruit Dimdim Pacres delivered 21 points including some clutch hits in the fifth set for Tacloban, who tapped the services of the University of Sto. Tomas opposite hitter and Jeannie Delos Reyes as replacement for University of the East’s Judith Abil and Seth Rodriguez.
