MANILA, Philippines – Veteran boxing analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz doesn’t see Manny Pacquiao hanging his gloves in the near future.

Nathanielsz said Pacquiao's continuous drive to fight is fueled by his political ambition.

"Being in the limelight only helps his political ambitions and Manny is keenly aware of this," the boxing commentator told Examiner.com.

Another motivation for the Filipino boxing superstar is his big spending ways.

"He will keep on fighting for a long time because he needs the money… When I say he needs the money, what I mean is he spends a lot of money,” said Nathanielsz.

Pacquiao’s lavish lifestyle is no secret to Filipinos.

Five months ago, he purchased a P388-million mansion in Forbes Park, Makati City.

A year before that, he gave his mother a P7-million house in General Santos City.

He is also known to spend a lot on charity.

"Manny won't retire anytime soon," Nathanielsz said.
