A lot has changed in Kevin Belingon since he first challenged Bibiano Fernandes for the ONE Championship bantamweight crown two years ago.
Aside from his improved grappling game, Belingon has become mentally stronger, according to his Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao.
“The present day Kevin is much stronger mentally. He’s much prepared and he’s 100 percent confident,” said Sangiao.
“It’s now just a matter of executing the game plan, come fight night.”
The “Silencer” first challenged the Brazilian back in 2016 and lost via first-round submission.
The Benguet-based fighter racked six sensational victories since then, capping his campaign with a dominant win over now former two-division champion Martin Nguyen.
Belingon will get to fight Fernandes again on November 9 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
“We have been preparing very well for Bibiano. We know he’s a very intelligent fighter. This is why we needed to draw the best strategy to beat him,” said Sangiao.
